Bio

Madeleine is an educator with experience and expertise in Early Childhood Education & Care. She is a Senior Lecturer of Early Childhood in the Curtin University School of Education, where she also engages in teaching and research around social justice, children’s rights, resilience and wellbeing, and care in educational contexts.

Madeleine is a member of the Trauma Aware and Restorative Schools Collaboration (TARSC) and an Associate Investigator for the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child. Recent research projects have focused on children’s perspectives about their lives and education, trauma-informed and caring pedagogies, and innovations in higher education with a focus on enhancing student experience.

Madeleine also manages the social media presence for the Curtin School of Education (@CurtinEducation on Twitter and Facebook). She is passionate about creative writing, gardening, photography, and hiking.
